Luang Prabang is the jewel
of Indochina and a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 199. The
ancient royal city is surrounded by mountains at the
junction of the Mekong and its tributary, the Khan rive,
amidst the city, Mount. Phousi, with its stunning view of
the surrounding temples and hill, stands. Luang Prabang is
perhaps the best preserved traditional city in Southeast
Asia. It is a sleepy town which has preserved its
long-standing reputation as a stronghold of Lao culture with
its splendid natural scenery and sense of timelessness.
Magical and charming, Luang Prabang is a destination that
every traveler has to see once in their lifetime.
Start trip with sightseeing
in Vientiane: visit Pha That Luang (the Great Sacred Stupa),
Wat Pha Kaew, a former royal temple and Wat Si Sake, the
oldest temple in Vientiane. Continue trip to Luang Pra Bang,
small city, and just about everywhere can be reached by foot
- walking and bicycle riding is the best way to see such as
tiny city.
Day 1: Arrive Vientiane
Arrive in Vientiane at Wattary Airport or Thadue Friendship
Bridge. Welcome with hospitality. Transfer to hotel for
check-in. Afternoon visit Wat Simuang, Wat Sisaket,
Horprakeo, That Luang and the monument to the Dead, and
hand-weaving village at Ban Nong Buathong.
Day 2: Vientiane - Luang
Prabang
Breakfast at hotel. You are transferred to Wattary Airport
for a scenic flight to Luang Prabang. Upon arrival, transfer
to hotel for check-in and begin the trip with the city tours;
visit former royal temples, Wat Visoun, where gathers up the
Biggest Buddha statue and many ancient wooden and bronze
Buddha images collected from the ruin of temples in the
northern Laos, visit the most beautiful temple with its
classical mosaic decoration in city, Wat Xieng Thong. Absorb
the attractive scenery overlooking the heart of the city
from the top of Mount. Phousi before being transferred to hotel.
Day 3: Luang Prabang
Breakfast at hotel. Visit the National Museum at the royal
King's Palace, which nowadays displays gorgeous collected
works of private artifacts of the royal family such as photos,
musical instruments and tributes received from foreign
countries. Head for the hill tribe village at Ban Tha Paen, a
fascinating Khamu village with its small pretty waterfall -
this is an ideal place to tune you into different formations
of water-oriented land, is situate on the way leading the
magnificent falls of Kuang Si, Soaking yourself in charms of
unspoiled non-manmade beauty attractions of this village is
truly supberb idea. Continue visiting Kouangsy Waterfall,
(Waterfall Wizardry) the remarkable multi-stepped falls, the
limestone staircase appear not only endless but are wholly
enclosed by a multi-canopied forest. The inhabitants of
Luang Prabang deem that Kuang Si is a result of a wizard in
an outlandish outburst - is that true? Perhaps! Experience
yourself!
Day 4: Depart Luang Prabang
Breakfast at hotel. Visit Luang Prabang Morning Market -
this market has a wide variety of shoes, silver, gold, Lao
style clothing, handicrafts and souvenirs before
transferring you to airport for departure flight.
