Luang Prabang is the jewel of
Indochina and a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 199. The
ancient royal city is surrounded by mountains at the junction
of the Mekong and its tributary, the Khan rive, amidst the
city, Mount. Phousi, with its stunning view of the surrounding
temples and hill, stands. Luang Prabang is perhaps the best
preserved traditional city in Southeast Asia. It is a sleepy
town which has preserved its long-standing reputation as a
stronghold of Lao culture with its splendid natural scenery
and sense of timelessness. Magical and charming, Luang Prabang
is a destination that every traveler has to see once in their
lifetime.
Start trip with sightseeing
in Vientiane: visit Pha That Luang (the Great Sacred Stupa),
Wat Pha Kaew, a former royal temple and Wat Si Sake, the
oldest temple in Vientiane. Continue trip to Luang Prabang,
small city, and just about everywhere can be reached by foot -
walking and bicycle riding is the best way to see such as tiny
city.
Day 1: Arrive Vientiane
Arrive in Vientiane at Wattary Airport or Thadue Friendship
Bridge. Welcome with hospitality. Transfer to hotel for
check-in. Afternoon visit Wat Simuang, Wat Sisaket,
Horprakeo, That Luang and the monument to the Dead, and
hand-weaving village at Ban Nong Buathong.
Day 2: Vientiane - Luang Prabang
Breakfast at hotel. You are transferred to Wattary Airport
for scenic flight to Luang Prabang. Upon arrival, transfer
to hotel for check-in and begin the trip with city tours;
visit former royal temples Wat Visoun, where gathers up the
Biggest Buddha statue and many ancient wooden and bronze
Buddha images collected from the ruin of temples in the
northern Laos, visit the most beautiful temple with its
classical mosaic decoration in city Wat Xieng Thong.
Climbing on the top of Mount. Phousi for overlooking the
city of Luang Prabang should not miss.
Day 3: Luang Prabang
B Breakfast at hotel. We travel by boat along the Mekong
River to visit Ban Xang Hai, a village where people produce
Laos's traditional alcohol distillation (rice wine) before
heading north to visit Pak-Ou village - the mouth of the
Mekong River, visit nearby the holly cave "Tam
Ting" where a thousand Buddha image installed. In the
afternoon, we bring you overland back to Luang Prabang;
visit en route a weaving village populated by Lu minority
people that originally came from Sipsong Panna in Southern
China, Ban Phanom
Day 4: Luang Prabang -
Vientiane
Breakfast at hotel. Start excursion by car to visit Ban Tha
Paen, an ethic village then continue to Kwang Si Waterfall.
You will be transferred to Luang Prabang Airport and take
off to Vientiane.
Day 5: Depart Vientiane
Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to Thadeua Friendship Bridge or
Wattary Airport for departure flight.
