From Vientiane, begin the
journey to explore the beauty of Southern Laos including its
French style architecture Thakek. Besides, moving further
south, visit a wonderful archeological site of Khmer
civilization from 6th century of Vat Phu in Champasak.
Experience both land and water journey as proceeding to Khong
Island and its waterfall, both are the biggest of its kind in
the South.
Day 1: Arrive Vientiane
Arrive in Vientiane at Wattary Airport or Thadue Friendship
Bridge. Welcome with hospitality. Transfer to hotel for
check-in. Afternoon visit, Wat Sisaket, Horprakeo, Emerald
Buddha Temple, That Luang, the Great Stupa and Patuxay, the
Gate of Victory
Day 2: Vientiane -
Saravanh
Breakfast at hotel, you will be pick up from hotel lobby.
Let's go for drive to Saravane province. We make a short
detour to visit Thakek, a beautiful and well preserved
French-style architecture. In the later afternoon, we will arrive
at Tad Lo
Day 3: Saravanh - Pakse
After breakfast, we start the day by visiting Tad Lo and
then drive overland en route to Pakse with a short stop
along the way of coffee plantations.
Day 4: Pakse - Champasak
After breakfast, this day trip is to visit Champasak with
its attractive surroundings; visit Vat Phu, a wonderful
archeological site of Khmer civilization dated back to the 6th
century. We keep going en route to Khong Island, also called
the "Land of the four thousand islands".
Day 5: Champasak - Pakse
After breakfast, you will be transferred to to boat landing
then travel by boat downstream to Ban Khone. We will take
you to visit the remains of French period, Li Phi Waterfall
or "the Corridor of the Devil". Continue traveling
by boat upstream to Nakasang, a fishery village and visit
Khone Phapheng on the journey, the biggest waterfall in the
South East Asia, it is the impressive sight. Next, we drive
back to Pakse by the road No.20.
Day 6 Pakse - Chong Mek
(Laos -Thai Border)
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Vang Tao Chong
Mek (the Lao Thai border check point) for departure.
