Nam Ngum Lake, in Vientiane
province, is situated approximately 60 kms of Vientiane city.
Nam Ngum Lake or 'Lake Geneva of Asia' is the artificial lake,
created by the damming of the Ngum River forms an area of 250
sq km. The lake contains many islets and is one of the largest
lakes in Asia, also, is an attraction base for water sports
such as rafting. Boats are available for hire to be used for
exploring this gigantic lake.
Day 1: Vang Vieng [L-D]
Meet you at Wattay Airport or Friendship Bridge. And then we
head north to Vang Vieng Resort. We free you until we brief
you on the rafting program by the monitor.
Day 2: Rafting day

After breakfast, we transfer to Ban Ko Mi, starting point
for rafting 80km far from the resort. The rafting is
arranged at the 4th -5th level. Along the river natural and
beautiful sceneries can be seen along with an exciting
descent on the Nam Ngum River. Rafters will spend on night
in open-sky under the mosquito net.
Day 3: Rafting ending

Easy breakfast, we move the raft to Nam Ngum Reservoir. In
the afternoon, we leave the raft and travel by local boat to
Tha Heua, a boat landing and drive overland route back to
Vang Vieng Resort.
Day 4: Luang Prabang
(World Heritage) [B-L-D]
After breakfast, we will depart for Luang Prabang. The
remainder of the day is at leisure on arrival Lung Prabang.
Day 5: Luang Prabang
[B-L-D]
Breakfast at hotel, we explore the UNESCO World Heritage
site with visit the former Royal Palace converted into a
National Museum, then continue to boat landing, we take a
boat ride to visit Tam Ting Cave, a pilgrim site of Luang
Prabang people. Making a short stop at Ban Xang Hai, a Lao
alcohol distillery village, located on the banks of the
Mekong afterward we travel overland route back to Luang
Prabang and visit Vat Xieng Thong, Vat Vixoun, and Vat Mai.
Day 6: Luang Prabang
-Vientiane [B-L]
Breakfast at hotel, the last day, we visit the morning
market of the city before keep moving to airport and take
off to Vientiane
Day 7: Depart Vientiane
[B]
After breakfast, you will be transfer to Wattay Airport or
Friendship Bridge.
NB: Canoe-rafting is only
available for a group of 12 persons max & persons min.
