"Boun Pi Mai means "New Year" it is the time when the Lao cerebrate the star of their lunar calendar. Practically, the entry country grinds to a half for the festivities. Houses are cleaned, people wear new clothes and Buddha images are bathed with holy water, the festivals us one of the best times to come to Laos. This is when the famous water flights take in the streets, which is appropriated, as it is the hottest time of the year.

Visitors are likely to find themselves drenched! Ceremonies take place in almost all Vats (temples, where offering of flowers and fruits are made and symbolic altars are caved out of sand in the courtyard of temples. One of the best places to view the festival is "Luang Prabang" where various procession and the "miss New Year" pageant takes place

Day 1: Vientiane - Luang Prabang [L-D]
Meet our representative at Wattay International Airport or Friendship Bridge then visit the city: Vat Sisaket, Ho Prakeo, That Luang Stupa. Lunch will be provided at downtown restaurant before proceeding to domestic airport and take off to Luang Prabang. Arrive at Luang Prabang, we transfer to hotel then visit the city: Vat Visoun, Vat Xieng Thong, Vat Mai. Dinner and stay overnight at hotel.

Day 2: Luang Prabang [B-L-D]
Breakfast at hotel, you get a full day attendance at the Exhibition Fair of local products and handicrafts. You are welcomed by inhabitants to experience the groundwork of the Lao New Year in the corners of the city. Lunch at down town restaurant then join the local people on the banks of the Mekong to build a mount of sand to grand your wishes for the approaching year. Followed by attending at traditional Baci Ceremony to call back your souls scattered and wandered in the nature to remain in your body, that's the belief of Lao people, before saying good night, enjoy yourself with Traditional Laos dance or called "Lamvong"

Day 3: Luang Prabang [B-L-D]
Breakfast at the hotel, begin the day with a transfer to boat landing and take a boat journey upstream to Tham Ting Cave. A short stop is made at Ban Sang Hai, Lao alcohol distillery village. We serve you a picnic lunch at Pak Ou. After lunch, we drive overland route back to Luang Prabang to attend the Lao New Year Procession Ceremony. Upon the night falling, we go back to hotel.

Day 4: Luang Prabang-Vientiane [B]
Breakfast at hotel, this morning is a discovery the attractions of city; the former Royal Palace converts into National Museum. And then, you will be transferred to airport to take off to Vientiane. Arrive in Vientiane and free time at leisure.

Day 5: Depart Vientiane [B]
After breakfast at hotel, we pick you at hotel lobby and transfer to Wattey Airport or Friendship Bridge for your next departure flight

Note: The attending the Laos New Year in April is in great demand, the hotel rooms are limited during this period. So visitors are advised to book now to be sure The Lao New Year is held in the whole country at the same date in mid April of the year. The fixed date is confirmed before leaving to Laos.
