Vientiane - Luang Prabang Tour

"A Baci is a ceremony to bestow good luck on a person or event. Baci is held when people are promoted in their work, move into a new house, star a new job and for almost any other reason. Also special Baci can also be arranged for new mothers or people getting married. Few Laos would not embark on a long journey without a Baci. Unique to Laos culture, a Baci involves transferring good luck through blessed strings that are tied to one wrist. The strings must stay attached for at least three day the luck to remain."

Day 1: Arrive Vientiane [L-D]
Meet on arrival at Wattay International Airport or Friendship Bridge then transfer to hotel. Visit the religious temples in the city: Vat Sisaket, Ho Prakeo, That Luang Stupa and Vat Ong Tu; Vietnamese pagoda, Chinese pagoda, catholic Cathedral and Protestant Church. We invite you for attending the presentation of traditional wedding ceremony or Lao Buddhism practice by eminent Lao personality.

Day 2: Luang Prabang (The World Heritage) [B-L-D]
Breakfast at the hotel, you will transfer to domestic airport and then take off to Luang Prabang, known as "the Land of the Legends" the city was made a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1995 because of its well-preserved remnants of the ancient Lane Xang Kingdom. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to hotel for check-in. Lunch will be provided at a downtown restaurant. After lunch, the rest of day is to visit Vat Visoun, Vat Xieng Thong, and the most elegant pagoda of the city, Vat Mai. Visit a nearby Mount Phousi, where you can climb up to absorb the panoramic view from the top of hill. Before coming back to hotel, we make a short stop at a weaving-village Ban Phanom.

Day 3: Luang Prabang [B-L-D]
Early wake up at 6.00 A.M, after getting breakfast at the hotel, we start the day to discover the lifestyle of Lao people; the monks receiving alms from the local laymen and laywomen or participating by you at the giving alms along with the population (optional). Next, we transfer to boat landing and travel by habitual boat upstream to Tham Ting (cave) - it is a small cave at the confluence of the Mekong River and Nam Ou. It houses countless Buddha images that have been placed there by devotees over hundred of years. We take a short stop en route at Ban Sang Hai; visit a Lao alcohol distillery village. Picnic-lunch will be served at Pak Ou and then travel overland route back to Luang Prabang. In the evening, you get a chance to experience pleasure in attending the traditional Baci Ceremony.

Day 4: Depart Vientiane [B]
Breakfast at hotel, visit the former Royal Palace, and nowadays convert into the National Museum. Transfer to airport and take off to Vientiane. Upon arrival at Wattay Airport in Vientiane, meet our representative and then transfer to. The remainder of the day is at leisure.
