Xieng Khouang and Houa Phan provinces both are situated in the north of Laos, Xieng Khouang is a province of green mountains and karst limestone. Much of this province was heavily bombed during the Vietnam war including the "Plain of Jars". There are over 100 caves in the Vieng Xai district of Houa Phan province and many of which were used as hideouts and bunkers during the Indochina war. In fact, Houa Phan was the the base of the Lao People's Revolutionary Army activities. 

Day 1: Arrive Vientiane [L-D]
Upon arrival at Wattay Airport for Friendship Bridge, you are welcomed by the hospitality meeting, and then you will be transferred to hotel. Start the day trip visiting the city with its attractions: Vat Sisaket, Ho Prakeo, That Luang Stupa and Kaysone Museum. Lunch will be served at down own restaurant.

Day 2: Xieng Khuoang [B-L-D]
Breakfast at hotel, we transfer you to domestic airport and take off to Phonsavanh (Xieng Khoung Province). Visit the "Plain of Jars", mysterious and ancient, the stone jars are scattered all over the plateau. During the Indochina war (1945-1975) the Plain of Jars has always been a battle field. Visit en route to Kham district, hot spring.

Day 3: Sam Neua (Houa Phan Province) [B-L-D]
Breakfast, we drive overland to Samneua. (Houa Phan Province) - along the road, a short stop at some Hmong villages and Houa Muang district to visit the Menhirs stone as mysterious and ancient as the plain of jars. In the late arrived we arrive at Sam Neua.

Day 4: Vieng-Say "Caves of leaderships" [B-L-D]
Breakfast, proceed to Vieng Say and visit the caves of leaderships: Kaysone Phomvihane, Nouhak Phoumsavanh, Souphanuovong, Khamtay Siphandone. Lunch will be provided at local restaurant beside the lake. We drive to visit some villages of Tai Deng and others.

Day 5: Overland route to Luang Prabang [B-L-D]
Breakfast, start the morning trip by visiting a local market, and Keo Nong Wai, a weaving village and Vat Ong Teu, the oldest temple in the province. Before upcoming sunset, we drive you route to Luang Prabang.

Day 6: Luang Prabang - Vientiane [B-L]
After breakfast, the day to discover the UNESCO World Heritage City, you will visit National Museum, Vat Xiengthong, and Vat Visoun. We serve you a lunch at a local restaurant before heading north to airport and then take off to Vientiane. The remainder of the day is at leisure.

Day 7: Depart Vientiane [B]
After breakfast at hotel, we pick you at hotel lobby and transfer to Wattay Airport or Friendship Bridge for your next departure flight.
